Course description
Course

The MBM is designed as a specialist Master degree course to respond to the emerging challenges and the requirements for a holistic approach in management. A deliberate emphasis is placed on professional and technical skills enhanced through projects. The MBM or indeed the MBA should not be confused with standard general management courses. Students will not only acquire broad knowledge of the field but more critically demonstrated specialised knowledge.

Entry requirement

  • Applicants are required to hold a relevant Bachelor degree awarded by a recognised university or higher education institution. Applicants who hold an Associate Degree Entry or Advanced Diploma may be permitted to enrol in any of the Master degree courses if they have at least two years of relevant practical experience. Applicants who have not completed a higher education qualification, either in Australia or overseas, may be admitted to study any of the Master degree, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate courses. They must have completed a Diploma or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field in a recognised institution, plus have at least four years of relevant professional experience for admission to the Master degree courses, and three years of relevant professional experience for admission to the Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate courses.

Additional professional certification and experience in a relevant field are considered an advantage. Eligibility for admission through the flexible entry mode will be determined on a case by case basis.

  • If you would like to study in Australia at a university or tertiary level then you may be eligible for the Higher Education Sector Visa (subclass 573) or Postgraduate Research Sector Visa (subclass 574). If your intention is to study a non-award foundation studies course or components of a course (other than English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) that does not lead to an award then the Non Award Sector visa (subclass 575) may suit your needs. For those who intend to come to Australia to undertake English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) the Independent ELICOS Sector visa (subclass 57) provides this option. In some cases it is possible to package your studies on the one visa subclass. For more information please see Course packaging. Eligible student visa applicants from participating education providers may also be able to apply for Streamlined student visa processing. If you have finished your studies and wish to work in Australia temporarily, please see Post-study work arrangements or our Working visas.
