Can You Study In Australia with Low Budget?

Many people wish to study overseas but sometimes things don’t work out as you expected. The budget problem is always the most common concern of studying abroad. You may think studying in Australia is just a dream to you when the living standard in Australia is pretty high. In fact, there are various ways to make your ‘dream’ comes true! Ideally, it may end up costing nothing!

1. Find an affordable course

This is a pretty straightforward way to study in Australia when you have a low budget. The courses in Australia can be roughly divided into three types, which are the postgraduate degree, undergraduate degree and vocational courses. The tuition fees of different courses usually vary with the reputation of the institution and the duration of the course, ranging from $5,000 to more than $60,000. You can always make good use of the filtering tool to narrow down your options and find the most affordable course that best suits your needs.

2. Apply for scholarships

The Australian government and Australian universities offer a large number of scholarships for international students, which can support your study financially. The good news is some scholarships can provide financial assistance for the whole duration of the course, including the tuition fees and living expenses, while other scholarships may cover part of the tuition fees for a certain period of time. The bad news is there is high competition for scholarships. However, they are still worth investigating and applying.

3. Find a part-time job

Last but not least, earn money with your own hands in Australia! International students can work a maximum of 40 hours per fortnight when your course is in session while you can work for unlimited hours when your course is not in session. University students usually have a day off or two. It is a great chance to earn some money and gain some working experience overseas. Most importantly, it won’t hurt your resume anyway!
